FRISCO, Texas – Northwestern State’s Hannah Brister and Megan Lohmiller are the Southland Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.The Lady Demons (13-7, 5-1 SLC) swept the weekly awards after a pair of 3-0 victories over Lamar and Southeastern Louisiana. Brister racked up 29 kills and a pair of service aces, while Lohmiller collected 36 digs and five assists throughout the week, placing NSU third in the latest Southland standings.Northwestern State returns to action Tuesday night on the road against Central Arkansas. First serve against the Sugar Bears is slated for 6 p.m. inside the Prince Center.Offensive Player of the Week: Hannah Brister, Northwestern State – Jr. – Outside Hitter – Paincourtville, La.Brister totaled 29 kills with a 4.8 per set average to accompany a .314 hitting percentage in the Lady Demons’ two sweeps.
