first_imgThe Vancouver Police Department is working with Crime Stoppers of Oregon to solve a December 2017 homicide in Vancouver, and they’re asking for the public’s help.The Clark County Medical Examiner previously identified the homicide victim found dead early morning Dec. 30 in Vancouver’s Image neighborhood as 23-year-old Vincent R. Trevino.Police responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 4 a.m. near the 12500 block of Northeast 28th Street. Officers found Trevino’s body in the area, VPD said.Police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp told The Columbian that witnesses were interviewed, but no suspects were identified.Answers are still being sought in the death.“Detectives from the Vancouver Police Major Crime Unit are investigating and are asking anyone who may have information related to this homicide to contact Crime Stoppers of Oregon,” according to a Friday press release from Crime Stoppers.last_img
