Twitter WhatsApp Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s following a robbery from a woman on St Nessans Road, Raheen, on Wednesday.Around 3pm Gardaí received a report that a man had stolen a handbag from a woman who was walking on St Nessans Road. House fire extinguished on West Main Street in Dryden

first_img Kelsey O’Connor center_img UPDATE (4:45 p.m.) —This story has been updated with information from the Dryden Fire Department.DRYDEN, N.Y. — Local firefighters put out a structure fire at 35 – 35 1/2 W. Main St. in Dryden on Monday. While the multifamily home sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage, all residents escaped safely.Flames were reported at the two-story residence at about 11:10 a.m., and Dryden Fire arrived on scene within minutes. According to a press release, heavy smoke and fire were showing on the second floor and in the attic when firefighters arrived and crews got the fire under control by about 11:40. Your Public Safety news is made possible with support from: Tagged: dryden, fire As of noon heavy smoke continued to pour from the home, and crews remained active throughout the afternoon. Main Street was closed to traffic while multiple agencies responded.Sgt. Josh Tagliavento, of Dryden Police, said one person was home at the time of the fire but was uninjured. Displaced residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.Dryden, Freeville, Cortlandville, McLean and Groton Fire Departments as well as Dryden Police and Dryden Ambulance provided emergency response. Crews from the Village of Dryden DPW, NYSEG, the NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control assisted, and the Virgil Fire Department provided coverage while other agencies were on scene.
